Annual Pet License

$20.00

If this is a renewal and a new metal tag is needed, please request a new metal tag with your pet's renewal. Otherwise, a receipt only will be sent.


Due Date

Payment for your license is due on the the expiration date of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 3 business days of obtaining a pet over the age of 4 months or within 3 business days of moving into Manatee County.


Payment Options

You may license by mail and pay for your license with a check or money order made payable to "Manatee County Government."

You may license online and pay for your license with a major credit card. A convenience fee will apply per transaction. Multiple pets can be licensed in one transaction.

You may license in person at participating veterinary clinics. Please bring a copy of your pet's current rabies certificate.


Required Paperwork
  • A current rabies vaccination certificate is required if the rabies vaccination on file has expired. Please check your certificate for correct address and pet information.

Your paperwork will not be returned to you, so please only send copies and retain the originals for your records.


Mailing Address

To license by mail:

  1. Enclose copies of all required paperwork. The license application below may be downloaded and included, but it is not required.
  2. Include $20 for each of your pets.
  3. Make your check or money order payable to "Manatee County Government." Please do not send cash.
  4. Mail your paperwork and payment to:
