Multi-year license options are now available if your dog's rabies vaccination expires in 2027 or later. A license cannot be issued beyond the year of the rabies vaccination expiration.

Note that all license tags issued in 2026 are printed with an expiration date of 12/31/26, but the license may be valid for a longer period. Please retain the receipt sent with your tag as the record of the expiration date.

Past Due Notice

You have received a Past Due billing notice for your pet's City of Dallas Animal Registration. Our records indicate that we mailed the first billing notice to you approximately six weeks ago, and have not received a response. Local ordinance requires that your pet be registered with the City annually at the time of rabies vaccination. Above your name on the card you received is a nine-digit number that is the Reference Number you should use when contacting us about your notice. The date next to the number is the rabies vaccination date that we have on file for your pet. Also listed on the front of the card is your pet's name and the registration fee that is due at this time.
