Multi-year license options are now available if your dog's rabies vaccination expires in 2027 or later. A license cannot be issued beyond the year of the rabies vaccination expiration.

Note that all license tags issued in 2026 are printed with an expiration date of 12/31/26, but the license may be valid for a longer period. Please retain the receipt sent with your tag as the record of the expiration date.

Replacement Tag

You may obtain a replacement tag by sending a check or money order payable to “Prince William County" in the amount of $1.00 to the mailing address below. Please do not send cash. You may include either a copy of your prior license receipt or a note to designate the pet for which you are purchasing a replacement tag.
