Licensing Ordinance

All dogs and cats 4 months of age and older must be licensed with Collier County. Newly acquired pets and new residents to the County must license within 15 days of being in the county.

Due Date

Payment for your license is due on the expiration date of your current license. If you are licensing for the first time, you must purchase a license within 15 days of obtaining a pet over the age of 4 months or within 15 days of moving into Collier County.

A late fee is added to the license fee if your license is not purchased within 30 days of the due date. The late fee is $5.00.

License Term

Licenses are valid for 1 or 3 years from the rabies vaccination date to the vaccination expiration date or next anniversary of the rabies vaccination. Licenses will not be valid beyond the expiration of the rabies vaccination.
