Why Do I License?

Licensing helps Animal Services and the public identify family pets that have become lost and help them get home faster. Licensing fees are used to help Eugene's lost, abandoned, hurt and neglected animals, among other services. Our animal licensing goals are to promote responsible pet ownership, reduce the tragedies associated with lost pets, and provide a stronger safety net for animals in need.
